Yaw Rate/G Sensor Assembly Removal and Installation: Notes
Reference: YAW RATE/G SENSOR ASSEMBLY ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
NOTE:
If you do not take proper precautions when removing and installing the yaw rate/G sensor, you can damage it or cause it to lose its original performance.
- Avoid using an impact wrench to remove or install the yaw rate/G sensor. Using such a tool increases the risk of overtightening the assembly's bolts and damaging the sensors.
- Be careful not to drop or otherwise expose the sensor assembly to a large impact. If the sensor assembly is dropped or hits hard against something, do not try to disassemble and repair it but replace the sensor assembly with a new one.
NOTE:
When yaw rate/G sensor assembly is replaced, ESP® control module needs zero calibration. Perform
zero calibration by SUZUKI scan tool. Refer to SENSOR CALIBRATION OF ESP® Components .
