APP Sensor On-Vehicle Inspection
CAUTION:
Failure to take proper precautions when handling the APP sensor assembly may lead to malfunction of the APP sensor.
- Do not drop or otherwise expose the APP sensor assembly to large shock. Any APP sensor assembly that has received large shock must be replaced.
- Keep the sensor section of the APP sensor assembly away from water.
- Check that accelerator pedal assembly (incorporating APP sensor) has been mounted to vehicle body properly (no pinched floor carpet, etc.).
Reinstall accelerator pedal assembly (incorporating APP sensor) if it is not properly mounted, see ACCELERATOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY (INCORPORATING APP SENSOR) REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Connect SUZUKI scan tool to DLC with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "OFF".
- Push engine switch to change the ignition mode to "ON", select "Data List" mode on SUZUKI scan tool.
- Check that voltage varies depending on accelerator position as the following graph.
If faulty condition is found, check the following points:
- Wire harness and connections
- APP sensor: APP SENSOR INSPECTION
