Harness - Liftgate - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Open both rear doors and lower the LH window.
  2. Fold the 2nd row seatbacks down.
  3. Remove the parcel shelf.
  4. Remove the upper rear window liftgate finisher. See Finisher - Liftgate - Rear Window - Upper - Remove And Replace .
  5. Remove the LH and RH side rear window liftgate finisher. See Finisher - Liftgate - Rear Window - Side - LH - Remove And Replace .
  6. Remove the lower rear window liftgate finisher. See Finisher - Liftgate - Rear Window - Lower - Remove And Replace .
  7. Remove the bolt (torque 9 N.m) that attaches the grounding terminals to the liftgate.

  8. Remove the clips (x4) that attach the liftgate harness to the liftgate.

  9. Disconnect the rearview camera connector, and then release the clip that attaches the rearview camera harness to the liftgate.

  10. Disconnect the connectors (x2) from the FM/DAB amplifier, and then release the clip that attaches the amplifier harness to the liftgate.

  11. Disconnect the connectors (x2) from the AM/FM/RKE amplifier, and then release the clips (x2) that attach the amplifier harness to the liftgate.

  12. Release the liftgate harness grommet at the LH side of the liftgate.

  13. Disconnect the GPS antenna connector from the liftgate harness.

  14. Route the harness through the grommet hole.

  15. Remove the LH rear C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Rear - LH - Remove And Replace .
  16. Remove the LH upper C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH - Remove And Replace .
  17. Release the clips (x4) and Velcro strips (x3) that attach the rear of the headliner, and then lower the rear of the headliner.

  18. Disconnect the liftgate harness connectors (x5), and then feed the connectors through the body hole.

  19. Remove the bolt (9 N.m) that attaches the liftgate ground terminal to the liftgate.

  20. Remove the liftgate harness from the vehicle.
