Camera - Rear View - Remove And Replace: Removal

WARNING: Whenever a camera has been moved out of its original position (for example, a camera or windshield replacement), camera calibration data must be cleared using the vehicle touchscreen: Controls > Service > Camera Calibration > Clear Calibration  .
  1. Remove the tailgate lower finisher Finisher - Liftgate - Rear Window - Lower (Remove And Replace) .
  2. Disconnect the rear camera electrical connector.
  3. Remove the liftgate applique Applique - Liftgate (Remove And Replace) .
  4. Remove the screws (x3) that secure the rear applique carrier to the tailgate (torque 2.4 N.m).
  5. Remove the rear applique carrier.
  6. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the camera to the rear applique carrier (torque 2.4 N.m).

  7. Release the grommet from the tailgate opening.
  8. Remove the camera assembly from the vehicle.
