Sensor - Shotgun Accelerometer - LH - Remove And Replace: Installation

  1. Position the new LH shotgun accelerometer sensor on the LH fender, and then install a new nut that attaches the sensor to the fender (torque 10 N.m).

  2. Connect the electrical connector to the LH shotgun accelerometer sensor.
    NOTE: Make sure that the connector is fully seated and that the locking tab is engaged.

  3. Reconnect the First Responder Loop.
  4. Reconnect the 12V battery negative terminal (torque 5 N.m).
  5. Install the HEPA filter outlet duct. See Duct - HEPA Filter - Outlet (Remove and Replace) .
  6. Install the HEPA filter inlet duct. See Duct - HEPA Filter - Inlet (Remove and Replace) .
  7. Install the LH and RH underhood aprons. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  8. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
  9. Connect a laptop with Toolbox to the vehicle.
  10. In Toolbox, click Panels  > Alerts  > DTCs  .
  11. Press the brake pedal to turn on the drive rails.
  12. In the lower right corner of Toolbox, click Read DTCs  , and after any alerts are displayed, click Clear DTCs  .
  13. In Toolbox, click Panels  > Restraint System  > Airbag Configuration for Bosch RCM  .
  14. Click the "Play" button to begin Bosch RCM configuration.
  15. After the Bosch RCM, ESP, and IMU are configured, click Finish  .
  16. Disconnect the laptop from the vehicle.
