Toolbox Proxy

Toolbox Proxy  is a lightweight Windows application which helps the Toolbox 3 website make local connections to Tegra vehicles. Tesla Model S and Model X vehicles with the first-generation Tegra car computer use a security mechanism that cannot be accessed by a web browser. To make a wired connection to these vehicles with the Toolbox 3 website, the Toolbox proxy  application is required.

  1. Install the Toolbox Proxy  application and then connect to the vehicle. Download the application from the Toolbox Software section. See Toolbox Software (Tesla internal link) or Toolbox Software (third party external link).
  2. If the Toolbox Proxy  application is not or can not be installed, run the following routine, using Toolbox 3:
    1. Select the Actions  tab and search for "SECETH".
    2. Select the ODIN routine PROC_TEGRA_X_SECETH-UNLOCK  , and then click the link of the routine.
    3. Click RUN  , and allow the routine to complete.
