1st Generation: Remove

  1. Open the liftgate and LH rear door.
  2. Disconnect 12V power DISCONNECT 12V POWER .
  3. Remove the trunk floor carpet Carpet - Trunk Floor (Remove And Replace) .
  4. Remove the liftgate rear wall trim Trim - Rear Trunk - Rear Wall (Remove And Replace) .
  5. Release the clips that secure the rear body controller module harnesses to the rear wall of the trunk.
  6. Remove and discard the nuts (x4) that secure the rear body controller to the studs on the rear wall of the trunk (torque 5 N.m).

  7. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the bottom of the rear body controller.

  8. Remove the rear body controller from the vehicle.
