Key Fob - Unpair: Procedure

  1. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect And Disconnect) .
  2. If Service Mode or Service Mode Plus is not yet enabled, enable Service Mode through the touchscreen. See Service Mode .
  3. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway Unlock .
  4. In Toolbox 3, click the Actions  tab, type "KEYFOBS" into the search field, click PROC_BCCEN_X_GET-PAIRED-KEYFOBS  , click Run  , and allow the routine to complete.
    NOTE: All key fobs that are paired to the vehicle are displayed.
  5. Copy the Hex ID that will be used to unpair the key fob.

    Tip: Paste the ID into a text file if more than one ID needs to be copied.

  6. In Toolbox 3, click the Actions  tab, type "pair" into the search field, and click PROC_BCCEN_X_UNPAIR-KEY  .
  7. Select Perform Vehicle Checks  , paste the copied Hex ID into the Key Fob ID field, and then click Run  .
  8. Verify the key fob is unpaired from the vehicle. Check the lock/unlock and trunk/frunk release functions to confirm.
  9. Disable service mode. See Service Mode .
  10. Once all Toolbox 3 routines have been completed, disconnect the laptop with Toolbox 3 from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect And Disconnect) .
