Key Fob - Unpair: Procedure
- Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect And Disconnect) .
- If Service Mode or Service Mode Plus is not yet enabled, enable Service Mode through the touchscreen. See Service Mode .
- Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway Unlock .
- In Toolbox 3, click the Actions
tab, type "KEYFOBS" into the search field, click PROC_BCCEN_X_GET-PAIRED-KEYFOBS
, click Run
, and allow the routine to complete.NOTE: All key fobs that are paired to the vehicle are displayed.
- Copy the Hex ID that will be used to unpair the key fob.
Tip: Paste the ID into a text file if more than one ID needs to be copied.
- In Toolbox 3, click the Actions tab, type "pair" into the search field, and click PROC_BCCEN_X_UNPAIR-KEY .
- Select Perform Vehicle Checks , paste the copied Hex ID into the Key Fob ID field, and then click Run .
- Verify the key fob is unpaired from the vehicle. Check the lock/unlock and trunk/frunk release functions to confirm.
- Disable service mode. See Service Mode .
- Once all Toolbox 3 routines have been completed, disconnect the laptop with Toolbox 3 from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect And Disconnect) .
