EPAS Alignment Check: Procedure

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Put the vehicle in Service Mode. See SERVICE MODE
  3. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See GATEWAY (UNLOCK)
  4. Disable the "Speed Limit" on the touchscreen: Touch Service > Service Settings > Remove Speed Limit  .

  5. Go to the alignment portal: Touch Service > Chassis > Alignment and Tires. 
    NOTE: Make sure the drive rails are on.

  6. Move the vehicle to a flat area with 500 m of space.
    NOTE: The vehicle will need to exceed 18 mph (30 km/h) within 500 m for the test to complete.
  7. Touch Service > Chassis > Alignment and Tires > Offset Drive Test > Run  , and then drive the vehicle in a straight line for 500 m, going at least 18 mph (30 km/h).
    NOTE: Turning the steering yoke/wheel over 200 degrees might end the test.

  8. After completing the test, stop the vehicle to view the test results.
    NOTE: It might be necessary to touch Offset Drive Test  in order to view the test results.

    • If the test passed: a four wheel alignment is not necessary. Skip to step 9.
    • If the test failed: the vehicle requires a four wheel alignment check and adjust. See Four Wheel Alignment Check and Adjust .
  9. Disable Service Mode. See SERVICE MODE
  10. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
