SERVICE INFORMATION
Recall Bulletin: Recall Bulletins are mandatory service procedures that, unless they can be completed via a firmware update that a customer installs through the normal course of ownership, must be carried out by Tesla-certified Service Centers. Recall work performed by uncertified technicians could lead to unsafe conditions or voided warranty provisions.
CONDITION
Certain 2021-2023 Model X vehicles may require a vehicle firmware update to ensure that the front passenger airbag deploys in a manner that complies with regulatory standards applicable to certain low speed collisions.
CORRECTION
Inspect the vehicle firmware version, and if necessary, update the vehicle firmware to version 2022.40.200 or 2022.44 or later.

PROCEDURE
On the vehicle touchscreen, touch Controls (vehicle icon) > Software , and then scroll down to display the vehicle firmware version.
- If the vehicle is operating with a firmware version 2022.40.200 or later, no further action is necessary. Use correction code S012200015.
- If the vehicle is operating with firmware version earlier than 2022.40.200, update to version 2022.40.200 or later (refer to FIRMWARE UPDATE ). Use correction code S022200015.
