TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS - STEERING COLUMN AND WHEEL - IP, SC, UPPER GAP HIDER ASSEMBLY (REMOVE AND REPLACE)

Screws (x2) that attach the upper gap hider to the steering column 1.2 N.m (.9 lbs-ft) 
  • Ratchet/torque wrench
  • Torx T20 socket
  • 6 in locking extension
 Reuse  
Nuts (x2) that attach the upper gap hider to the cross car beam 15 N.m (11.1 lbs-ft) 
  • Ratchet/torque wrench
  • 3 in extension
  • 13 mm socket
  • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
 Reuse  
TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS - STEERING COLUMN AND WHEEL - ELECTRIC STEERING COLUMN - LHD (REMOVE AND REPLACE)

Bolt that attaches the steering column intermediate shaft to the steering gear input shaft 18 N.m (13.3 lbs-ft) 
  • 13 mm socket
  • Ratchet/torque wrench

Nuts (x4) that attach the steering column to the cross car beam 15 N.m (11.1 lbs-ft) 
  • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
  • 13 mm socket
  • 3 in extension
  • Ratchet/torque wrench

TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS - STEERING GEAR AND LOWER COLUMN - STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY, LHD (REMOVE AND REPLACE)

Bolt that attaches the steering gear assembly to the electric steering column 18 N.m (13.3 lbs-ft) 
  • 13 mm socket
  • Ratchet/torque wrench
 Reuse  
Jamb nuts to the LH and the RH outer tie rod ends 80 N.m (59.0 lbs-ft) 
  • Combination wrench 12pt 21 mm
  • Combination wrench 12pt 14 mm
  • Wheel Alignment Torque Wrench Kit
 Reuse  
Nuts that attach the LH and the RH front tie rod ends to the LH and the RH front suspension knuckles 180 N.m (132.7 lbs-ft) 
  • Cordless 1/2 in Dr Impact
  • 22 mm deep socket
  • 1/2 in to 3/4 in adapter - 1717365-00-A
  • Ratchet/torque wrench
 Replace  
Outer bolts that attach the steering gear assembly to the front subframe 47 N.m (34.7 lbs-ft) 
  • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  • 11 in extension
  • 15 mm socket
 Reuse  
Inner bolts (x2) that attach the steering gear assembly to the front subframe 75 N.m (55.3 lbs-ft) 
  • Ratchet/torque wrench
  • 6 in extension
  • 18 mm socket
  • 3 in extension

TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS - STEERING COLUMN AND WHEEL - STEERING WHEEL - PUR LEATHER (REMOVE AND REPLACE)

TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS - STEERING COLUMN AND WHEEL - IP, STEERING COLUMN, SHROUD LOWER SUB (REMOVE AND REPLACE)
