Auxiliary Slow System
Remove rubber cap and check that there is no suction at idle speed due to a defective diaphragm. Close air inlet hose leading from air cleaner to auxiliary system at idle speed and check that there is no change in engine operation. Disconnect air inlet hose from air cleaner and race engine rapidly. Check that air is drawn in by system during deceleration. If an inspection indicates a defective system, replace assembly.
