Electric Air Control Valve (EACV)
- Disconnect air hose from check valve, and air by-pass hose from air cleaner. Unplug wiring connector. With engine idling, check that compressed air comes out of air by-pass hose. Reconnect wiring connector.
- Disconnect the connector from the thermo switch (1) and ground it. Check that compressed air comes out of air hose to the check valve at idle. Reconnect thermo switch connector.
- Disconnect connector from thermo switch (2), and ground it. Check that the compressed air comes out of the air by-pass hose. Reconnect the connector.
- Disconnect connector from thermo switch (1), and ground it. Connect air pump tester to air hose to check valve. Close the orifice on tester with your finger. Increase the engine speed gradually, relief valve opening pressure should be 4.3-5.7 psi (0.30-0.40 kg/cm2 ). Reinstall air hoses and connectors.
