Basic Trouble Shooting

Limited testing information is available from the manufacturer. Before replacing the computer, ensure secondary ignition and good quality fuel is present. Also make sure the engine is in good order, no vacuum leaks are present and emission systems are functioning correctly.

Use the appropriate wiring diagram to check computer has source of 12 volts and proper ground connections. Also check all related harnesses and connections for any shorts or open circuits. Repair or replace any problems and retest the vehicle to see if it runs okay now. If not, and all systems and devices work okay, replace the computer.
