Speed Sensor To VSV

  1. Using 3-way connector, connect a vacuum gauge in the hose between the VSV and canister. Set the gauge at the driver's seat and warm up the engine. Check that the vacuum gauge indicates zero at low speeds (below 7 MPH on Pickup).
  2. Check that vacuum gauge indicates manifold vacuum at middle and high driving speeds (above 16 MPH on Pickups. If problem is found, inspect speed sensor and VSV.
