Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Adjustment

  1. Loosen 2 TPS retaining screws. Insert a thickness gauge between throttle stop screw and throttle. With ignition off and electrical connector disconnected, connect ohmmeter between terminals IDL and E2. See Fig 1.

  2. Gradually turn TPS counterclockwise until ohmmeter needle deflects. Secure TPS retaining screws. Using a thickness gauge, recheck the continuity between terminals IDL - E2.
