Secondary Coil Resistance Tests

  1. Disconnect ignition coil so it is isolated from remainder of system. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between coil positive (+) terminal and coil tower. See IGNITION COIL RESISTANCE  table. See Fig 1 or Fig 2.
  2. If resistance is not within specification, replace ignition coil. If resistance is within specification, proceed to the PICK-UP COIL RESISTANCE TEST .
