Code Detection Test Drive

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Remove EFI (15-amp) fuse for at least 10 seconds. Reinstall fuse. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature.
  2. Accelerate and test drive vehicle at 50-55 MPH for 10 minutes. Stop vehicle and idle engine for 2 minutes or less. Accelerate vehicle at full throttle to 60 MPH and maintain speed for one minute. Stop vehicle and turn off ignition for at least 3 seconds.
  3. Start vehicle. Accelerate and test drive vehicle at 50-55 MPH for 10 minutes. Stop vehicle and idle engine for 2 minutes or less. Accelerate vehicle at full throttle to 60 MPH and maintain speed for one minute. Stop vehicle. If malfunction exists, MIL will illuminate during last test drive.
