Throttle Position Sensor

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect electrical connector from Throttle Position (TP) sensor mounted on side of throttle body. Note terminal identification on TP sensor. See Fig 1.
  2. Apply vacuum to throttle opener. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between specified terminals in relation to throttle position. See THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR RESISTANCE  table. Replace components as necessary if resistance is not within specification.
