Test No. 11: Door Lock Control Switch: Testing

  1. Check operation of door lock control switch. See appropriate POWER DOOR LOCKS article. If door lock control switch operates properly, go to next step. If door lock control switch is defective, replace door lock control switch.
  2. Check for faulty connectors and wiring between door lock control switch and body Electronic Control Unit (ECU). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair connectors or wiring as necessary. If connectors and wiring are okay, go to next step.
  3. Check for faulty connectors and wiring between door lock control switch and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
  4. Repair connectors, wiring or ground as necessary. If connectors, wiring and ground are okay, go to next test listed. See appropriate TROUBLE SHOOTING SYMPTOMS table under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
