Driver's Power Window Motor Circuit Breaker Test: Avalon

  1. Slightly lower driver's window. Disconnect harness connector from driver's door power window motor. Connect ammeter positive lead to terminal No. 2 (Green wire) at harness side and negative ammeter lead to negative terminal of battery. See Figure. Connect another jumper wire between positive battery lead and terminal No. 1 (Red wire) at driver's door power window motor (harness side). Window should raise to fully closed position. If window operates correctly, go to next step. If window does not operate correctly, go to POWER WINDOW MOTOR TEST .
  2. Continue to apply voltage and check that current changes to less than one amp in 4-90 seconds. Wait approximately 60 seconds and connect positive battery lead to terminal No. 2 (Green wire) and negative lead to terminal No. 1 (Red wire). Window should lower. If operation is not as specified, replace power window motor. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
