Keyless Door Lock Buzzer Does Not Chirp

  1. Operate door lock and unlock function with remote transmitter. If remote transmitter operates correctly, go to next step. If remote transmitter does not operate correctly, go to BASIC FUNCTION TEST .
  2. Test buzzer operation. See KEYLESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER  under COMPONENT TESTS. If buzzer is okay, go to next step. If buzzer is not okay, replace buzzer.
  3. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 4 (Pink/Green wire) at back door ECU harness connector. Perform LOCK/UNLOCK operation with keyless remote transmitter while measuring voltage. If battery voltage is present when operating lock, unlock and back door unlock operates with remote transmitter, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, replace back door ECU. See BACK DOOR ECU  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  4. Check continuity of Pink/Green wire between terminal No. 4 of back door ECU harness connector and terminal No. 2 of buzzer harness connector. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair open or short to ground in Pink/Green wire.
  5. Check continuity of Pink/Black wire between terminal No. 5 of back door ECU harness connector and terminal No. 1 of buzzer harness connector. Repair wiring as necessary.
