Jam Protection Limit Switch Operation: RAV4

CAUTION: Wire harness must be connected properly or damage to sensor may result.
  1. Disconnect connector from master switch. To test with window up, connect positive ohmmeter lead to connector terminal No. 17, and negative ohmmeter lead to connector terminal No. 2. See Figure. Connect positive battery lead to connector terminal No. 4, and negative battery lead to connector terminal No. 9. Ensure continuity exists when window goes up. Ensure no continuity exists when window is in fully closed position. If operation is not as specified, replace motor. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. To test with window down, connect positive ohmmeter lead to connector terminal No. 17, and negative ohmmeter lead to connector terminal No. 2. See Figure. Connect positive battery lead to connector terminal No. 9, and negative battery lead to connector terminal No. 4. Ensure continuity exists when window goes up. Ensure no continuity exists when window is in fully opened position. If operation is not as specified, replace motor. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
