Diagnostic Tests: Notes

NOTE: Before performing any diagnostic test, refer to SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM for diagnostic system functions and system diagnostic procedures. Also check for any related Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs). For component location, see appropriate illustration in THEORY & OPERATION article. To identify circuits and wire colors referenced in testing, see WIRING DIAGRAMS article.

NOTE: When performing diagnostic tests, it may be necessary to identify Engine Control Module (ECM) terminals which are referenced to in testing procedure. See Fig 1.
