Door Lock Motor

  1. Remove door panel for access to appropriate door lock assembly which contains the door lock motor and door unlock detection switch. See Figure.
  2. Disconnect 6-pin electrical connector at door lock assembly. Using jumper wires, apply battery voltage and ground to specified electrical terminals on door lock assembly and check that door lock motor moves to UNLOCK position. Perform STEP 1 in illustration. See Fig 1.
  3. Reverse jumper wires so polarity is reversed and check that door lock motor moves to LOCK position. Perform STEP 2 in illustration. See Fig 1. Replace door lock assembly if door lock motor does not operate as specified.
