System Tests: Notes

WARNING: Before performing system tests procedures, read SERVICE PRECAUTIONS  to prevent personal injury or death due to the extremely high voltage.
NOTE: Before proceeding with any system test, ensure proper trouble shooting procedure was performed and multiplex control system operation was verified. See appropriate trouble shooting procedure for system application as listed under TROUBLE SHOOTING .
NOTE: If all systems which are controlled by body Electronic Control Unit (ECU) are not operating, perform TEST NO. 18: BODY ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT DOES NOT OPERATE  to verify operation of body ECU.

Power Window Control System 
All Power Windows Will Not Operate Test No. 1 
Passenger's Side Front Door Or Rear Door Power Window Will Not Operate Test No. 2 
Power Door Lock Control System 
Power Door Locks May Not Be Locked Or Unlocked When Using Power Door Lock Control Switch Test No. 3 
Two-Operation Unlock Function Does Not Operate(1) Test No. 4 
Key Confinement Prevention Function Does Not Operate (2) Test No. 5 
Each Door Does Not Lock & Unlock Test No. 6 
Luggage Compartment Door Opener Function Does Not Operate Test No. 7 
Keyless Entry System 
All Functions Of Keyless Entry System Will Not Operate Test No. 8 
Lock Or Unlock Function Does Not Operate Test No. 9 
Automatic Lock Function Operates Even If Door Is Opened Within 30 Seconds After All Doors Are Unlocked Using Keyless Entry System (3) Test No. 10 
Illuminated Entry System 
Illuminated Entry System Does Not Operate Test No. 11 
Headlight & Taillight System 
Headlights Do Not Operate Test No. 12 
Taillights Do Not Operate Test No. 13 
Automatic Turn Off System For Lighting System Does Not Operate (4) Test No. 14 
Various Other Functions 
Driver's Seat Belt Warning Light Does Not Turn Off Test No. 15 
Passenger's Seat Belt Warning Light Does Not Turn Off Test No. 16 
Anti-Theft System Indicator Light Does Not Blink When Anti-Theft System Is Set Test No. 17 
Body Electronic Control Unit Does Not Operate Test No. 18 
(1) Two-operation unlock function unlocks all doors. When using the key and turning driver's side door lock once, only driver's door will unlock. Turning driver's side door lock twice in succession will unlock all the doors. Two-operation unlock function may also be referred to as door key linked function.
(2) Key confinement prevention function prevents the doors from being locked if ignition key is in the ignition lock cylinder.
(3) Automatic lock function allows 30 seconds to open the door once the door is unlocked with the keyless remote or the door will be locked again.
(4) Automatic turn off system turns off the lights when driver's side front door is opened with the ignition off and headlights are turned on.

Driver's Door Power Window Will Not Operate Test No. 19 
Auto Up Or Down Function For Power Window Does Not Operate (1) Test No. 19 
Jam Protection Function & Auto Up Or Down Function Does Not Operate On Power Window (2) Test No. 20 
Various Functions 
Any Other Parts On Driver's Side Front Door Do Not Operate Test No. 21 
(1) Auto up or down function controls automatic operation of power window. When power window switch is pushed completely downward and then released, or pulled completely upward and then released, the power window will fully open or close.
(2) Jam protection function causes power window to stop and open half way if something becomes caught between window and window frame during power window auto up (automatic closing) operation.
