Ignition Timing: Inspection

Activate Transit To Inspection Mode And Warm Up Engine ( PRECAUTION ) .
Allow the engine to warm up to normal operating temperature.
Connect Toyota Hand-Held Tester
1. Connect the TOYOTA hand-held tester to the DLC3.

2. Please refer to the TOYOTA hand-held tester operator's for further details.
Connect Timing Light To Engine .
Using a timing light, check the ignition timing.

Ignition timing: 7 - 15° BTDC @ idle (Transmission in parking range)
Disconnect Timing Light From Engine .
Disconnect Toyota Hand-Held Tester .
Stop Engine .
