Power Window Master Switch

NOTE: Power window master switch is located on driver's side front door and power window switches are located on all other passenger doors. For testing of power window switch, see POWER WINDOW SWITCH .
  1. Power window master switch is located on driver's side front door. See Figure. Disconnect electrical connector from power window master switch. Note power window master switch electrical terminal identification and location of window lock switch. See Fig 1. When window lock switch is depressed, only driver's side front door power window will operate. When window lock switch is released, all the power windows will operate.
  2. Using ohmmeter, check that continuity is as specified between indicated power window master switch electrical terminals in relation to window switch application and window lock switch position. See POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH CONTINUITY  table. Replace power window master switch if continuity is not as specified.
