Inspection Procedure

  1. Check POWER M-fuse, WIPER, ACC, HORN, HAZ, MPX-B and ECU-IG fuses. 

    CHECK: 

    Check the continuity of the POWER M-fuse, the WIPER, ACC, HORN, HAZ, MPX-B and ECU-IG fuses.

    OK: 

    1. Continuity 
    1. NG Replace failure fuse. 
    2. OK Go to next step 
  2. Check voltage between terminals WIPER, ACC, HORN, HAZ, POWER, ECU-B, ECU-IG and GND of body ECU connector and body ground. 

    PREPARATION: 

    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the cover.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON.

    CHECK: 

    Measure the voltage between terminals WIPER, ECU-IG and body ground.

    OK: 

    1. Voltage: 10 - 14 V 

    PREPARATION: 

    Turn the ignition switch OFF.

    CHECK: 

    Measure the voltage between terminals HORN, HAZ, POWER and body ground.

    OK: 

    1. Voltage: 10 - 14 V

    PREPARATION: 

    Turn the ignition switch ON.

    CHECK: 

    Measure the voltage between terminal ACC and body ground.

    OK: 

    1. Voltage: 10 - 14 V 

    PREPARATION: 

    Turn the ignition switch OFF.

    CHECK: 

    Measure the voltage between terminal ECU-B and body ground.

    OK: 

    1. Voltage: 10 - 14 V 
    1. NG Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table. See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  . 
    2. OK Go to next step 
  3. Check continuity between terminal GND and body ground. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the cover.

    CHECK: 

    Check the continuity between terminal GND and body ground.

    OK: 

    1. Continuity 
    1. NG Repair or replace driver side J/B, harness or connector. 
    2. OK Replace driver side J/B.
