Deceleration Sensor Check

CAUTION: While checking the deceleration sensor operating diagnosis system, ABS does not work and brake system works as a conventional brake system.
NOTE: When having replaced the yaw rate sensor, deceleration sensor or the ECU, make sure to perform zero point calibration. See YAW RATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION  under PROGRAMMING.
NOTE: If the sensor is tilted too much it may show the wrong value. If dropped, the sensor should be replaced with a new one. The sensor removed from the vehicle should not be placed upside down. When replacing the deceleration sensor, perform the deceleration sensor zero point calibration. See .
  1. To begin procedure, clear zero point and obtain zero point of yaw rate and deceleration sensor. See YAW RATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION  under PROGRAMMING. Using scan tool 09843-18020, connect terminals Ts and E1 of DLC1 and turn ignition switch ON.
  2. Make sure vehicle is in stationary condition with shift lever in P range. After turning ignition switch ON, check that the VSC TRAC warning light is lit for about 4 seconds and then starts quick blinking at 0.13 second intervals for 2 seconds, turn ignition OFF. Remove scan tool and disconnect terminals from tool.
