Column Shift Assembly: Removal

NOTE: Do not disassemble the shift lever assembly.
  1. Remove steering wheel pad.

    See step 1 of REMOVAL .

  2. Remove steering wheel.

    See step 2 REMOVAL .

  3. Remove INSTRUMENT LOWER FINISH PANEL .
  4. Remove column lower and upper panels. See step 4 of REMOVAL .
  5. Remove combination switch. See step 5 of REMOVAL .
  6. Remove shift lever assembly:
    1. Remove the 3 bolts.

    2. Disconnect the shift lever connector.
    3. Disconnect the shift lever assembly and transmission control cable. See step 8 of REMOVAL .
    4. Remove the shift lever assembly.
