On-Vehicle Repair

  1. Remove engine under cover LH and RH  .
  2. Drain transaxle oil  . See  Replace Transaxle Oil.
  3. Remove front drive shaft  . See REMOVAL .
  4. Remove differential oil seal LH and RH  .

    Using SST, pull out the 2 oil seals. SST 09308-00010.

  5. Install differential oil seal LH and RH  :
    1. Using SST and a hammer, drive in 2 new oil seals. SST 09350-32014 (09351-32130, 09351-32150).

      Oil seal depth: 2.7 +/- 0.5 mm (0.11 +/- 0.02 in.)  .

    2. Coat the lip of the 2 oil seals with MP grease.
  6. Install front drive shaft  . See INSTALLATION .
  7. Add transaxle oil  . See  Replace Transaxle Oil.
  8. Check transaxle oil level  . See  ) Replace Transaxle Oil.
  9. Install engine under cover LH and RH  .
  10. Inspect and adjust front wheel alignment  . See SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES .
