Safety Precautions: Identification
The RAV4 EV:
- Can be identified by the electric charge receptacle on the right front fender.
- Is 4-door only.
- Is powered by Ni-MH (Nickel-Metal-Hydride) batteries (12V each). Total voltage: 300V. These batteries are contained in one battery pack located under the passenger compartment floor.
- Uses a permanent magnet motor.
- "Ni-MH" and "EV" decals are on the outside of vehicle.
- Has air intake vents on both rear quarter panels.
