Seat Belt: Inspection

  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH 
    1. Inspect the buckle switch.
      1. Fasten the seat belt (buckle switch ON).

      3. Inspect the continuity and resistance between the terminals, as shown in the illustration and table.

        Standard:

      5. Release the seat belt (buckle switch OFF).

      7. Inspect the continuity and resistance between the terminals, as shown in the illustration and table.

      Standard:

      If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt.

    2. Inspect the circuit for the airbag seat position sensor.
      1. Inspect the continuity between the B7 connector and connector for the airbag seat position sensor, as shown in the illustration and table.

      Standard:

    If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt.

  2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY RH 
    1. Inspect the buckle switch.
      1. Fasten the seat belt (buckle switch ON).
      2. Inspect the continuity between terminals B8-1 and B8-2, as shown in the illustration.

        Standard: No continuity

      4. Release the seat belt (buckle switch OFF).
      5. Inspect the continuity between terminals B8-1 and B8-2, as shown in the illustration.

        Standard: Continuity

      If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt.

    2. Inspect the circuit for the occupant detection sensor.
      1. Connect the connector terminals 1 and 2 for the occupant detection sensor.
      2. Inspect the continuity between terminals B8-3 and B8-4, as shown in the illustration.

        Standard: Continuity

    If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt.
