HV Battery: Removal

  1. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG (See  PRECAUTION  ) 
  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE TRIM (See  COMPONENTS  ) 
  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT (See  COMPONENTS  ) 
  4. REMOVE POWER CABLE 
    1. Using the service plug, turn the interlock counterclockwise to unlock.
    2. Remove the 3 nuts and battery carrier catch bracket.
      NOTE: When the interlock is damaged, be sure to replace it with new one.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts and power cables.

    4. Remove the earth terminal.
  5. REMOVE BATTERY BRACKET 

    Remove the 13 bolts and nut, RH and LH battery brackets.

  6. DISCONNECT CONNECTOR 
    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors from the battery ECU.
    2. Disconnect the connector from the SMR.
    3. Disconnect the connector from the service plug assembly.
  7. REMOVE DUCT (See  COMPONENTS  ) 
  8. REMOVE HV BATTERY 
    1. Disconnect the battery hose from the body.
      CAUTION: Since alkaline electrolyte may be got on the hose end, carry out the operation with considerable care. 
    2. Remove the 5 bolts and HV battery.
