Column Shift Assembly: Removal

NOTE: Do not disassemble the shift lever assembly.
  1. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL PAD (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  2. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT LOWER FINISH PANEL (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  4. REMOVE COLUMN LOWER AND UPPER PANELS (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  5. REMOVE COMBINATION SWITCH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  6. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts.
    2. Disconnect the shift lever connector.
    3. Disconnect the shift lever assembly and transmission control cable (See REMOVAL ).
    4. Remove the shift lever assembly.
