Seat Belt Warning System: Inspection

  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH 
    1. Inspect the buckle switch.
      1. Fasten the seat belt (buckle switch ON).
      2. Inspect the continuity and resistance between the terminals, as shown in Fig 1 and RESISTANCE/CONTINUITY SPECIFICATION (ON)  .

        Standard: 

        RESISTANCE/CONTINUITY SPECIFICATION (ON)

        Terminal No. Specified Condition
        B7-1 <==> B7-2 1,330 Ω
        B7-1 <==> B7-3 No Continuity

      3. Release the seat belt (buckle switch OFF).
      4. Inspect the continuity and resistance between the terminals, as shown in Fig 2 and RESISTANCE/CONTINUITY SPECIFICATION (OFF)  .

      Standard: 

      RESISTANCE/CONTINUITY SPECIFICATION (OFF)

      Terminal No. Specified Condition
      B7-1 <==> B7-2 330 Ω
      B7-1 <==> B7-3 No Continuity

      If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt.

    2. Inspect the circuit for the airbag seat position sensor.
      1. Inspect the continuity between the B7 connector and connector for the airbag seat position sensor, as shown in Fig 3 and AIRBAG SEAT POSITION SENSOR SPECIFICATIONS  .

        Standard: 

        AIRBAG SEAT POSITION SENSOR SPECIFICATIONS

        Terminal No. Specified Condition
        B7-4 <==> 1 (Connector For Airbag Seat Position Senor) Continuity
        B7-5 <==> 2 (Connector For Airbag Seat Position Sensor) Continuity

        If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt.

  2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY RH 
    1. Inspect the buckle switch.
      1. Fasten the seat belt (buckle switch ON).
      2. Inspect the continuity between terminals B8-1 and B8-2, as shown in Fig 4 .

        Standard: No continuity

      3. Release the seat belt (buckle switch OFF).
      4. Inspect the continuity between terminals B8-1 and B8-2, as shown in Fig 5 .

        Standard: Continuity 

        If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt.

    2. Inspect the circuit for the occupant detection sensor.
      1. Connect the connector terminals 1 and 2 for the occupant detection sensor.
      2. Inspect the continuity between terminals B8-3 and B8-4, as shown in Fig 6 .

        Standard: Continuity 

        If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt.
