Inspection Procedure

NOTE:

In case of using the TOYOTA hand-held tester, start the inspection from step 1 and in case of not using the TOYOTA hand-held tester, start from step 2.

  1. Check The Back Door Courtesy Switch Using TOYOTA Hand-Held Tester. 

    PREPARATION:  Connect the TOYOTA hand-held tester to the DLC3.

    CHECK:  Check the back door courtesy switch using DATA LIST.

    1. OK  : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table. SeePROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .
    2. NG  : Go to step  2.
  2. Check Back Door Courtesy Switch (See Page BE-50). 
    1. NG  : Replace the back door lock assembly.
    2. OK  : Go to step .
  3. Check Wiring Harness And Connector Between Back Door Courtesy Switch And Back Door ECU. 
    1. NG  : Repair or replace wiring harness or connector.
    2. OK  : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table . SeePROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .
