Input Shaft ASSY: Overhaul

1. Remove the planetary sun gear from the input shaft.

1. Float the input shaft thrust bearing race using a thin flat-head screwdriver if it is attached to the planetary sun gear.

2. Remove the input shaft thrust bearing race No.1, No.2 and input shaft thrust needle roller No.1 bearing.

1. Ensure that there is no damage or color change in the bush.
2. Using a caliper gauge, inspect the internal diameter of the planetary gear.

   Maximum diameter: 25.596 mm (1.00771 in.)

HINT:

Replace the planetary sun gear with a new one if the measurement exceeds the maximum diameter.

1. Ensure that there is no abnormal wear or color change in the bearing.

HINT:

Replace the input shaft thrust needle roller bearing with a new one if there is abnormal wear or color change.

1. Apply ATF WS to the sliding surfaces of the bearing and install input shaft thrust bearing No.1, No.2 and input shaft thrust needle roller No.1 bearing.

1. Apply ATF WS to the bush and install the planetary sun gear to the input shaft.
