Fuel Pressure Regulator: Replacement
- REMOVE FUEL PUMP AND SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY FROM FUEL TANK (See REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE FUEL SUCTION PLATE
- Disconnect the fuel sender gauge connector and ground plate.
- Using 2 screwdrivers, pry out the fuel suction plate.NOTE: Be careful not to damage the suction support and fuel suction plate.
- Disconnect the fuel pump connector.
- REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR
- Disconnect the fuel return jet tube from the clamp.
- Pull out the pressure regulator.
- Remove the O-ring from the pressure regulator.
- REINSTALL FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR
- Install a new O-ring to the pressure regulator.
- Apply a light coat of gasoline to the O-ring, and push into the pressure regulator.
- Connect the fuel return jet tube to the clamp.
- REINSTALL FUEL SUCTION PLATE
- Connect the fuel pump connector.
- Install the fuel suction plate to the fuel filter and fuel pump assembly.
- Connect the fuel sender gauge connector and ground plate.
- REINSTALL FUEL PUMP AND SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY TO FUEL TANK (See REPLACEMENT )
