Throttle Body: Replacement

  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 
  2. DISCONNECT ACCELERATOR CABLE FROM THROTTLE BODY 
  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE 
  4. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY 
    1. Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector.
    2. Disconnect the throttle control motor connector.
    3. Disconnect the accelerator pedal position sensor connector.
    4. Disconnect the air hose.
    5. Disconnect the 2 water bypass hoses.
    6. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts, throttle body and gasket.

  5. REINSTALL THROTTLE BODY 
    1. Place a new gasket on the air intake chamber facing the protrusion upward.
    2. Install the throttle body with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque: 18 N.m (180 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf) 

    3. Connect the throttle position sensor connector.
    4. Connect the throttle control motor connector.
    5. Connect the accelerator pedal position sensor connector.
    6. Connect the air hose.
    7. Connect the 2 water bypass hoses.
  6. RECONNECT ACCELERATOR CABLE TO THROTTLE BODY 
  7. REINSTALL AIR CLEANER HOSE 
  8. REFILL WITH ENGINE COOLANT 
  9. START ENGINE AND CHECK FOR COOLANT LEAKS
