Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE) 
    1. Remove the power window regulator motor assy.
    2. Apply battery voltage to the motor connector according to the table below.
      NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.
    3. Check that the motor rotates smoothly.

      OK: 

      SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 1 (D) Motor gear rotates clockwise
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 2 (U) Motor gear rotates clockwise
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 2 (U) Motor gear rotates counterclockwise
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 1 (D) Motor gear rotates counterclockwise

    1. NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE) 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE) - MULTIPLEX NETWORK SWITCH ASSY) 
    1. Disconnect the H4 and H6 connectors.
    2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard: 

      SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H4-2 - H6-6 Always Below 1 Ω
      H4-1 - H6-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      H4-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H4-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   )
