ECM (2GR-FE): Replacement

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (SEE REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSY RH (SEE REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSY NO. 2 (SEE REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE ECM
1. Disconnect the 5 connectors from the ECM.
2. Remove the 2 nuts, bolt and ECM.
3. Remove the 2 screws to separate the ECM bracket from the ECM.
4. Remove the 2 screws to separate the ECM bracket No.2 from the ECM.

INSTALL ECM
1. Install the ECM bracket No.2 to the ECM with the 2 screws.
2. Install the ECM bracket to the ECM with the 2 screws.
3. Install the ECM with the 2 nuts and bolt.
  Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in. lbf)
4. Connect the 5 connectors to the ECM.
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSY
INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSY NO. 2
INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSY RH
INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
RESET MEMORY (see INITIALIZATION )
PERFORM INITIALIZATION (SEE INITIALIZATION )
Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the battery terminal.
