VVT Sensor (2GR-FE): Replacement

REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE VVT SENSOR
1. Intake camshaft (Bank 1).
  1. Disconnect the VVT sensor connector.
  2. Remove the bolt and the VVT sensor.

2. Exhaust camshaft (Bank 1).
  1. Remove the windshield wiper link assy (see REPLACEMENT ).
  2. Remove the cowl top outside panel front (see REPLACEMENT ).
  3. Disconnect the VVT sensor connector.
  4. Remove the bolt and the VVT sensor.

3. Exhaust camshaft (Bank 2).
  1. Disconnect the VVT sensor connector.
  2. Remove the bolt and the VVT sensor.

4. Intake camshaft (Bank 2).
  1. Disconnect the VVT sensor connector.
  2. Remove the bolt and the VVT sensor.

INSTALL VVT SENSOR
1. Intake camshaft (Bank 2).
  1. Install the sensor with the bolt.
    Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf)
  2. Connect the VVT sensor connector.

2. Exhaust camshaft (Bank 2).
  1. Install the sensor with the bolt.
    Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf)
  2. Connect the VVT sensor connector.

3. Exhaust camshaft (Bank 1).
  1. Install the sensor with the bolt.
    Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf)
  2. Connect the VVT sensor connector.
  3. Install the cowl top outside panel front (see REPLACEMENT ).
  4. Install the windshield wiper link assy (see REPLACEMENT ).

4. Intake camshaft (Bank 1).
  1. Install the sensor with the bolt.
    Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf)
  2. Connect the VVT sensor connector.
