Circuit Opening Relay: Inspection

  1. REMOVE CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY (Marking: C/OPN)

  2. INSPECT CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY 
    1. Inspect the resistance.
      1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

      Standard: 

    CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY - TESTER CONDITION TABLE

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    3-5 10 kΩ or higher
    3-5 Below 1Ω (Apply battery voltage to terminals 1 and 2)

    If the resistance is not as specified, replace the relay.

  3. REINSTALL CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY
