    1. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch ON (IG).
    3. Turn the hand-held tester ON.
    4. Select the item: DIAGNOSIS/ENHANCED OBD II/ACTIVE TEST/FUEL PUMP/SPD.
    5. Check the relay operation while operating it using the hand-held tester.

Standard: Operating noise can be heard from the relay.

    1. OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   )
    2. NG: GO TO NEXT STEP
  2. INSPECT POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT (See  ECM POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT   )
    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT COMPONENTS
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
  3. INSPECT INTEGRATION RELAY (C/OPN RELAY)
    1. Remove the integration relay from the engine room R/B.
    2. Inspect the circuit opening relay.

      Standard:

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION DESCRIPTION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      (3G-5) - (3G-8) 10 kΩ or higher
      (3G-5) - (3G-8) Below 1 Ω (Apply battery voltage to terminals 3G-6 and 3G-7)
    3. Reinstall the integration relay.
