SFI System: Injector: Installation

INSTALL INJECTORS AND DELIVERY PIPES
1. Apply a light coat of spindle oil or gasoline to a new O-ring, and install it to each injector.

2. Install the 2 spacers and 4 new grommets to the cylinder head.

3. Apply a light coat of spindle oil or gasoline to the place where a delivery pipe touches the O-ring.
4. Push the injector to the delivery pipe turning the injector as shown. Then install the 4 injectors.
5. Position the injector connector downward.

6. Attach the delivery pipe together with the 4 injectors to the cylinder head.
7. Temporarily install the 2 bolts holding the delivery pipe to the cylinder head.

8. Check that the injectors rotate smoothly.
  HINT:
  
  If injectors do not rotate smoothly, the possible cause is incorrect installation of the O-ring. Replace the O-ring.
9. Position the injector connector downward.

10. Tighten the 2 bolts holding the delivery pipe to the cylinder head.
  Torque: 20 N.m (205 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)

11. Connect the 4 injector connectors.
INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH MAF METER
CONNECT PCV HOSE
