Camshaft Position Sensor: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See  COOLANT  ) 
  3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL   ) 
  4. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE (See  REMOVAL   ) 
  5. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  6. REMOVE NO. 3 TIMING BELT COVER SUBASSEMBLY BANK 1 (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  7. REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR 
    1. Remove the bolt, stud bolt and camshaft position sensor.
