Throttle Body: Removal

DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD COVER NO. 2
1. Remove the 3 bolts and nut, then remove the cylinder head cover No. 2.

SEPARATE ACCELERATOR CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the wire of the accelerator control cable from the accelerator control cable support No. 2 [A].
2. Loosen the nut [B].
3. Remove the cable end [C] from the throttle lever, then separate the accelerator control cable.

REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector [A].
2. Disconnect the 2 VSV connectors [B].
3. Remove the 2 wire harness clamps [C].
4. Disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose No. 1 [D] from the VSV.
5. Disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose No. 3 [E] from the VSV.
6. Disconnect the 3 vacuum hoses [F].
7. Loosen the air cleaner hose clamp bolt [G].
8. Unlock the 2 clamp hooks [H].
9. Remove the air cleaner cap together with the air cleaner hose.

REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY
1. Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector [A].
2. Disconnect the ISC valve connector [B].
3. Disconnect the ventilation hose [C].

4. Disconnect the water by-pass hose No. 3 [D].
5. Disconnect the water by-pass hose No. 2 [E].

6. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts [F], then remove the accelerator control cable bracket and throttle body.
7. Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.
