Engine Control System (1NZ-FXE): ECM: Installation

  1. INSTALL ECM 
    1. Install the No. 3 ECM bracket with the 2 screws.

    2. Install the 2 No. 2 ECM brackets with the 4 screws.

    3. Install the 3 No. 1 ECM brackets with the 6 screws.

    4. Install the ECM with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 3.0 N*m (31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf)

    5. Install the ECM with bracket with the 2 nuts and bolt.

      Torque: 3.0 N*m (31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf)

    6. Connect the 4 hybrid vehicle control ECU connectors.
    7. Connect the 4 ECM connectors.
  2. INSTALL NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  3. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the instrument panel (see INSTALLATION ).
  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
